Driving Licence

On 25th February 2008 , I got the driving licence for light vehicles. The licence is issued by Department of Motor Traffic after evaluation of a written and driving test. As I passed the exams Mr. W.K Nanayakkara, Examiner of Motor Traffic, Matara offered me a temporary result sheet to announce that I am qualified to own the driving licence.

Driving

I'm happy to say all, today is my first day of driving. I joined to Highway Learners and I had to pay Rs.7000/= for driving practices of cars. My teacher is Mr.Kandambhi (Mobile - 0712717483 , home - 0412225035) and he teach us individually. He allow students to pay money in three instalments. He is so friendly and he clearly taught me the basic things and I was able to drive about five miles with him. It was a van and driving is interesting and fully responsibility of life of our and people on the road. I hope to learn to drive safely soon, and have the license. It is very valuable to have a vehicle license for anyone because it is useful in the day today life.
Dilan is the person who encourage me to do this and I want to say thank you for everything he is doing for me.

Level2 of BIT

As this is my university vacation I got enough of free time to do my favourites and I began to start work of the level2 of Bachelor of Information Technology Degree Programme. The subjects I get are

• Object Oriented Analysis and Design
• Software Engineering
• Mathematics for computing
• Web Development

I just started the studies of last two subjects. As I do Pure mathematics at my university 'Mathematics for Computing' is easy for me. Javascript and PHP in 'Web development' are new for me. I learn them with the help of Javascript tutorials and PHP manual. Dilan also help me for those things.I most like web developing and DBMS in the computer field.

Knitting

Another favourite of mine is knitting. I love it very much. My friend Sumali( Physio therapist) taught me knitting few years ago. I know the basics of knitting. These days I learn advanced knitting techniques with the help of the Internet. These days I am making some cushion covers and table mats. It's time consuming but interesting. Bharathanatyam

I really really love dancing. For a long time I wanted to learn Bharathanatyam. But there are no teachers in Matara and with my university studies it's hard to go to Colombo for classes.
But I didn't give up my dream. Dilan always says "find what ever you want in the Internet", as he is a software engineer. As he says I was able to find a best site for that, http://onlinebharatanatyam.com
I could found some lessons which are rich with simples videos. So every morning I do practices of Bharathanatyam lessons successfully. I am very happy about that.

Barso re

Last Friday, that is 7th of December the colors nite of the University of Ruhuna was held. Duli and I had to perform a dance for that occation. As I mentioned early we did the dance for the song "Barso re". There were lot of comments for our dance, all are said it's wonderfull. Dilan was also there with me, and he is always with me for anything I do.
There were about 130 students own the colors for their talents.

Second year exams were over.

During last few weeks I sat for year end exams of second year of my degree. Exams were fine and I hope I save my first class. Now this is my vacation and I'm free. I do dancing practices these days, because Duli and me have to perform a dance for our colours night of our university on 7th December 2007. We'll do the dance for the hindi song "Barso re" in the movie "Guru".

I passed level 1 in Bechelor of Information Technology.

Last months I worked hard for my level 1 examination in BIT degree programme offered by University of Colombo and I sat

• Information Systems and Technology.

• Computer Systems.

• Application Packages.

• Internet and WWW.

• Mathematics for Computing.

• Programming(Java).

in that examinations which were held on April and July.So I passed all the six subjects and now I'm going to register for level 2.

This is my dearest mother.She is a retired teacher.

Trip to Galle Fort

For a long time I had a dream to go to see the Galle Fort. So Last Sunday I went there with Dilan (http://www.dilanspersonalblog.blogspot.com). We saw nice scenarios of the Galle town , Old Fort and Southern Ocean of Sri Lanka. It was a most enjoyable journey for me as I love travelling. I'll add few photos of the trip.
